Null Kelvin: -273,15°C, nichts bewegt sich, alles steht still. Von irgendwo dringen treibende Beats an das Ohr und lassen vereiste Beine wieder mitwippen. Aus einer anderen Richtung fliegen melodiöse Synthie-Sounds heran und zwingen die gefrorenen Körper zum Tanzen und über allem weht die schneidende Brise kristallklaren Gesangs, der wie im Spiel das Herz erstarren und erwärmen lässt. Ein Blizzard namens Refrain sprengt das letzte Eis von der Oberfläche und stampft dem toten Planeten wieder Leben in den Körper!
Und in der Mitte die drei Elektro-Meister von der Eisfabrik – Dr. Schnee, Der Frost, Celsius.
Dieses Bild entsteht vor dem inneren Auge beim Hören des mittlerweile 4. Albums der Eisfabrikanten. Eingerahmt durch „Sein erstes Lied“ und „Sein letztes Lied“ liefern die Future-Pop-Pioniere eine Platte mit insgesamt 13 Songs, die die konsequente Entwicklung der letzten Alben fortführt und beim Hören und Tanzen Gänsehaut verursacht – und das nicht, weil es eiskalt ist!
Neben dem ersten und dem letzten Song sticht als eines der wenigen deutschsprachigen Liedern auf dem mehrheitlich englischen Album ein Song besonders heraus – „Schneemann“ brilliert durch das genau richtige Maß an Einfachheit, in der man sich verlieren will und Komplexität, wo sie dringend gehört werden möchte. Er zeigt stellvertretend für das restliche Album, dass die Musiker von der Eisfabrik genau wissen, was sie tun und mit „Null Kelvin“ ein thematisches sowie musikalisches Meisterwerk abliefern!

Null Kelvin: -273,15°C, nothing moves, everything is quiet. From somewhere driving beats penetrate the ear and make iced legs move again. From another direction melodic Synth-sounds fly towards the frozen bodies and force every being to dance uncontrollably and above all flows the biting wind of crystal clear vocals that will warm and freeze your heart however it pleases. A blizzard, named chorus, bursts the last ice from the surface and presses life back into this dead planet’s body.
And in the center the three electro-masters from Eisfabrik – Dr. Schnee, Der Frost, Celsius.

Framed by “Sein erstes Lied” and “Sein letztes Lied” the Future-Pop-pioneers deliver a record with 13 songs, which consequently follow the development of their latest albums and give you goosebumps while listening – and not, because it’s that cold!
Although the album is mostly recorded in English, another german song apart from the first and the last one stands out – “Schneemann” excels with the exactly right amount of simplicity you just want to get lost in and complexity, where it’s desperately needed. This song stands as an acting example for the rest of the album and shows that the musicians of Eisfabrik know exactly what they are doing. With “Null Kelvin” they deliver a thematical and musical masterpiece!
